I was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo and this city has always been home for me. As a single mother, I know what it's like to work hard to provide, to balance so many responsibilities at once, and to still dream big for the future. This journey has shaped me into someone who believes deeply in resilience, community, and giving back in ways that truly make a difference.

I created Power Moves In Philanthrphy : A Cheryl Ruffin Initiative becasue I want to pour into others the same way I wouldv'e wanted to be poured into at different points in my life. Two of the three initiatives I've started are ones I connect with personally, and that's what makes this work so close to my heart. For me, it's not just about funding projects-it's about creating hope, offering real oppurtinities, and reminding people that they're not alone.

Looking ahead, my vision is to keep growing these efforts year by year, touching more lives and creating a lasting impact in my community. My hope is that throught this work, others will feel supporeted, inspired, and empowered to make their own "power moves" in life.
